review-Tuesday with Morrie

Tuesdays with Morrie, written by Mitch Albom, is a true story telling about the meaning of life.

Morrie is the professor. He has been diagnosed with ALS, and not given very long to live.  Mitch visits his professor to restart their teacher-student relationship on Tuesdays. The final course is about love, work , community, family, aging, forgiveness and death.

Morrie’s time is limited, but love is unlimited.  He’s generous with his time and love, telling people the meaning of life. He’s open-mind, reflective and thinking deeply affects the people around him. Morrie’s student, Mitch, being a workaholic, he takes a break and gives himself a chance to visit his old Professor.  His thoughts have been constantly changed every time he discussed with Morrie. The love between these two people is so beautiful.  They were not even family, yet they were closer than many fathers and sons will ever be.

We are only focused on making a ton of money. What's more valuable in our life?  This book may not meet universal value; it is connecting with others, not for profit but for love.

Most people don’t like to think or talk about death. Even though it’s inevitable that every one of us will die, yet fear still surrounds death.  “Death ends a life, not a relationship. All the love you created is still there. All the memories are still there. You live on- in the heart of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here.” (174)
